YCMG Fundraiser & Pre-Malibu Party

The Youth of the California Men’s Gathering (YCMG) is hosting a fundraiser to help young men ages 18 to 29 be able to plan workshops and social events in 2008, and afford the magical life-changing Spring Gathering in Malibu next year—2009! How? By throwing a party at MJ’s!

This year we have 13 YCMG first-timers attending the CMG, and already these guys want to help bring other young men into the CMG brotherhood for the wisdom, the mentoring, and oh yeah, the flat-out fun. So come to MJ’s Bar in Silverlake by yourself or with friends going to the Spring Gathering, to meet the guys, dance your butt off, and buy tickets for (ahem) “adult-themed” gifts being raffled off all day long!

[WARNING: The presence of alcohol as well as young men of all ages, might induce one to purchase outrageous amounts of raffle tickets for the aforementioned “adult-themed” items.]

WHEN	Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

WHAT TO BRING	Money for raffle tickets!
YOU MUST BE OVER 21!	MJ’s is a bar that serves alcohol, so all attendees must be over the age of 21.
PARKING	Parking is available on nearby streets.
DONATION & COST	We are asking a $5.00 donation to the YCMG at the door. Beyond that, your cost will depend on what, if anything, you order at the bar, and how many dozens of raffle tickets you purchase!
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL	All CMG events are drug free. While most of our events are alcohol free, this one is at a bar so alcohol will be available. HOWEVER: MJ’s is proud to offer the widest selection of non-alcoholic beverage choices of any bar in Los Angeles!
[**]	If you have never been to one of our social events, this is a great way to find out about the California Men's Gatherings and the many wonderful men who attend our three annual Gatherings and our monthly social events in Los Angeles. The men who attend our Gatherings and social events are a diverse group of men of varying ages, beliefs, religious traditions, and spiritual practices. We have differently-abled men and men from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. While CMG attendees are predominately gay and bisexual, all men 18 years or older, including those who are transgender or straight, are welcome to attend events that do not serve alcohol. Since this particular event is in a bar that does serve alcohol, you must be 21 years or older.
